Roadside food shack. Set up for drive thru, but two tents with tables available to eat there. Big portions for burrito and quesadilla. Price for them was reasonable.

Rewarded the kiddos with a shake for being troopers on our trip, and Mammoth Shake Shack did not disappoint! The Caramel Drizzle and Cookie Monster shakes were both a hit, super tasty and fun for the kids. The owner was a chill, down-to-earth guy who went out of his way to make sure the nuggets had a great experience. Definitely recommend stopping by if you’re in the area!

Amazing tri tip sandwich and yummy potato salad as a side!! The baguette that they use for the sandwich gave the right crunch to every bite and does not feel heavy. My husband got the pulled pork mac and cheese and loved it too. Great spot for lunch after a good hike

Great smoked meat. I like that both had their own flavor and different bbq sauce. We opted out for just meat for two of our servings and the other two were sandwiches, we all were happy with our choices

Really good BBQ served with a smile. The place is unassuming. Blink and you will miss it. The tri tip sandwich was really good with a tangy BBQ sauce. The pulled pork sandwich was also good. The sides (baked beans and coleslaw) were an added bonus.

The delicious food sold for a fair price & fair portions mostly make up for the terrible seating options and poor customer service. My group of 5 ordered two quesadillas (choice of red or green salsa), 2 Mac n cheese bowls, and 1 smoked tri tip sandwich. We all REALLY enjoyed our food! If we didn’t finish it there, we took it home for leftovers. We ordered 2 sodas for $2.50 each, and they only have can options. The guy serving us had little to no patience to clarify menu items and made it unnecessarily awkward when he replied “Uhh… I guess?” when I asked if I can add cheese to my tri tip sandwich. Aside from that, there is only one lonely table with an umbrella for shade that only works when the sun is basically at its zenith, since you cannot adjust the height or the angle of the umbrella much… Since the food truck is kinda on the street, you have to walk across a section of road where cars and cyclists drive/ride along. It’s an odd setup, but again the food makes up for all this. If you happen to get a good cashier and get your food to-go, you’ll avoid all my complaints!

Had the pulled pork sandwich. I’m from the south so I have high standards for BBQ. Pulled pork was tender and juicy, they have a really good bbq sauce. I wasn’t vibing with the sides. I had potato salad and bbq beans. To me they tasted store bought, but that was the only disappointing thing about it. I definitely would eat here again.

I bought the tri-tip burrito. It was good with lots of tri-tip stuffed in it. It really was delicious and didn't hurt my stomach like some places in Mammoth after I ride the mountain bike park all day at the ski area. The price was good for all the meat in it. It just took a little too long to wait for my food. The atmosphere is nice if you look past the busy road. A small cabana for shade and some tables in the sun. I'd recommend it if you like BBQ tri-tip. And there were no fatty prices of meat, just lean beef.
